Woodley Lunch Bunch is a registered charity, run entirely by volunteers, that provides freshly prepared, nutritious lunches to children under 18 during school holidays. Each delivery includes a ready-to-eat meal and ingredients for a second meal later in the week. With a five-star food hygiene rating, we uphold the highest standards of quality, health, and safety in every meal we serve.
To minimise food waste and use resources responsibly, we send reminder messages two days before and on the day of delivery. Families are encouraged to let us know if they won’t be home or no longer require their meals, helping us avoid preparing food that may go unused.
Since launching in 2020, we’ve made meaningful progress in reducing single-use plastic — replacing plastic fruit tubs and switching from individual drink bottles to concentrated squash provided per family. Individual lunches are delivered in paper bags, and when plastic carrier bags are used, these are made from recycled plastic. While we continue to improve our environmental practices, maintaining food hygiene remains our top priority.
